What this is
Metal skirting closes the open gap between the bottom of your rig and the ground. Panels are measured, cut and fitted to the shape of your coach on site, then fastened along the base so the line stays straight and tight.
In the high desert that gap is where a lot of trouble starts. Wind drives sand and grit under the rig, sun cooks the underbelly and exposed lines, and animals treat the space as shelter. Skirting takes all of that off the table and makes the rig look finished at the same time.
This is a good fit for rigs that sit in one place for a season or longer, whether that is a private lot, a park space or a piece of land out past the pavement.
What the job covers
- Measuring the rig and the ground line so panels follow the real shape
- Cutting and fitting metal panels on site rather than forcing a stock kit
- Fastening a straight, consistent seam along the full length of the base
- Working around jacks, steps, slide supports and utility connections
- Access left where you need to reach valves, hoses and storage
Signs you need this
- Sand and grit blowing under the rig every time the wind picks up
- Exposed plumbing and wiring taking direct sun under the coach
- Animals nesting in the open space beneath the floor
- Floors that run hot in summer and cold on winter desert mornings
- A long term parked rig that still looks temporary
Done on site
Your rig stays parked where it is. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Questions
About metal skirts
Panels are cut and fitted on site to the shape of your coach, so travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes all work. Jacks, steps and utility connections are worked around, not covered over.
Tell us what your rig needs
On site service across the Morongo Basin and down into the valley. Call and you will reach someone who works on these rigs every day.
